So I spoke with the owner of the company and she kindly guided me through the offbeatcuts’ amazing journey!
Originally from Australia, Suzette first came to Thailand for a peaceful summer holiday with friends. She felt in love with the place and one year later she moved there to follow a dream! The company mainly started as a life adventure:  “I first lived in the south of Thailand, on an Island called Koh Phangan, which i loved. It was so beautiful living on the beach and I started selling handmade products from the Island. I mainly sold jewellery and beauty because of the very limited resources we have here”. Things became serious in April 2014 when she moved to Chiang Mai, the north of Thailand. Curiosity took the lead, she made great discoveries  which inspired her beautiful bags and now invade her awesome website!
That’s how Suzette describes her business: “My main seller is obviously the beautiful bags, they are all handmade to order. Sometimes I stock a couple of the more popular ones but most are made to order and usually take 1-2days to be produced. I’m widening my selection of bags daily, and continuously uploading new products. I have a passion for the vintage bags but these are becoming harder and harder to produce because of the difficulties in purchasing the material.  Most of my bags are embroidered and inspired by the Hmong Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand while others are gorgeous genuine leather bags. I also sell lots of handmade jewellery, bohemian clothing and I’m about to open up a section to sell textiles for people to make their own bags. We’ll be selling cushion covers too, so people can have amazing thai patterns in their house and feel always on holiday!”.
