The island of rainbows: Madeira! (part 2)

Ciao Belli!

As promised, tonight I will finish to tell you about my wonderful trip to Madeira! So let’s start from where we left.. it’s always me, my beardy boy and our lazy punto car!

The next stop-over is Ponta do Pargo, a diamond-shape territory located on a fabulous cliff, on the western edge of Madeira! You can get there by car but be careful, your gps will probably go mad!

About 20 minutes from there, Porto Moniz is the place you cannot miss. The natural pools offer a surreal and mystic atmosphere. Swimming there is definitely unforgettable!

On the third day in Madeira, we took a tour of the east side! We went up to the mountains to see the higher peak in the island: Pico Ruvio (1,861 metres). Everything was great, except that we got lost at least 10 times and we never managed to get there. Good news is that we captured two great pictures!

Madeira, is very well known for having more than 200 beautiful walks. We took two that day and I will definitely recommend them! Ehm.. remember to get a torch!

Here you can see some pictures from the Levada Caldeirao Verde:

We saw  more than 10 rainbows that day and here’s the proof: Madeira is truly the island of rainbows!
